Warburg Minor Hockey Fundraising 2019/2020
Hockey is fast approaching and we all know that means fundraising will soon be underway for the upcoming season. WMHA's fundraising commitment is $175 / player up to $350 / household (even if your family has three or more children in hockey your commitment is still only $350). Warburg Minor Hockey Association will be having a few fundraisers throughout the year to help you fulfill and hopefully surpass your fundraising bond. The first fundraiser will be a battery drive.
1. Battery Drive
The battery drive will include car batteries, truck batteries and heavy equipment batteries (no ATV/quad batteries, no small disposable batteries). There will be a minimum of 5 batteries per player required in order to fill half the fundraising bond of that player. The deadline will be Saturday, October 19, 2019 where the batteries will be picked up at the Warburg arena. This gives players just over a month to collect any batteries they may be able to.
2. Raffle Tickets
There will be raffle tickets to sell, these will be out end of October / early November. We are currently working on getting donations for raffle prizes, we are looking for gift card donations (we want to group gift cards for prizes or even cash donations). I have attached the donation letter if anyone needs it. Payment will be required when you receive the raffle booklets, this simplifies the process as any money you then receive as payment simply stays with you. I will let you know at a later date how many tickets will be in a raffle booklet, the cost per ticket and how many booklets need to be sold to fill your bond.
3. Up for discussion, looking at possibly selling Little Caesars Pizza kits or something along those lines.
